Last month, we welcomed One Kings Lane to Patina Farm for a photo shoot and an interview. Steve and I enjoyed talking about the process of creating Patina Farm, and our entire family (minus Nick, who is in New York) happily participated in the photos.

We partnered with this wonderful online decor website to create a sale that features some of our favorite Giannetti Home furnishings as well as some One Kings Lane accessories and furniture that help you create the Patina Style aesthetic of our home.

Patina Farm Book Event in Houston at Chateau Domingue!

 

 I am so excited to let you all know that Steve and I will be doing a Patina Farm presentation and book signing in Houston on Thursday, March 31st at the beautiful Chateau Domingue Showroom!

I have been an admirer of Chateau Domingue's owner, Ruth Gay ever since I saw images of her home and showroom on Joni's Cote de Texas blog.

Ruth incorporated so many beautiful European architectural antiques, like this elegant stone door surround and this pair of wonderfully aged doors, in the design of her home.

Looking at the stone walls and floors in Ruth's home, it's hard to believe that this house isn't 100 (or 200) years old!

The texture of the cobble floor adds to the interest and warmth of this space.

A fantastic antique stone mantel on a simple plaster wall... it doesn't get much better than that!

The piece de resistance? As a garden enthusiast, I would have to say that would be Ruth's unique greenhouse, with its magnificent shutter doors.

We are all so fortunate that Ruth searched all over Europe to find these gorgeous architectural antiques for her own home, because that was when she decided to open Chateau Domingue and offer all of these elements to all of us!

I recently discovered Atelier Domingue Architectural Metalcrafts, Ruth Gay's new line of metal windows and doors. Atelier Domingue creates windows and doors that are contemporary yet also have a time worn feel to them... What a perfect combination!
