Before I begin this post I wanted to give you a Patina Farm update... signed copies are now available for pre-order on our website. We will sign and ship your books to you as soon as they arrive at the shop next month.
Steve and I have been doing quite a bit of traveling lately. I thought you might enjoy seeing some of the images from the trip we took last week...
We started our week in Connecticut. We stayed at the charming Mayflower Inn in Washington, Connecticut. I highly recommend it. We had breakfast looking out at this snow covered garden every morning. Not a bad way to start the day!
Since we were already back East, we planned a photo shoot at Steve's family's plaster shop, Giannetti's Studio.
But before the shoot, we spent a day doing some shopping around Washington, D.C. Our first stop... Darryl Carter's Boutique. We have been fans of Darryl's design work for years, and his boutique did not disappoint. Darryl has a wonderful sense of scale. The large stone arch at the front of the store is such a wonderfully dramatic way to set the tone for his visitors.
The boutique is a combination of rustic and more modern elements in Darryl's signature neutral palette.
We began the following day with a visit to Marston Luce in Georgetown, where we received an enthusiastic greeting from a couple of pups in residence...
I could live in Marston Luce... Mr. Luce has a wonderful eye for European antiques that have great detailing without feeling overly fancy.
I shared this image on Instagram... amazing patina!!!
So many inspiring vignettes!
After our time at Marston Luce, we headed over to visit our friends, Loi Thai and Tom Troeschel at their gorgeous store, Tone on Tone. As you can see from the images below, we share a love of chalky painted Swedish antiques!
I am hoping to place this Swedish settee in my clients home.
I shared a couple images of my favorite pieces at Tone on Tone on Instagram...
The curve and detailing of this chaise are so elegant!
We spent the final day of our trip capturing the beauty of Giannetti's Studio. I snapped a few images, but I will be sharing some of photographer Lisa Romerein's amazing photographs in the next few weeks....

I hope you had an wonderful week!
