I know... I haven't written a post in over a month... I feel really bad about it, but I have a really good excuse. I hope you will think so too!
Steve and I are writing the Patina Farm Book. We are so excited about this project, but it is consuming all of my writing time.
We are fortunate to have the amazing Lisa Romerein shooting the photography for the book. We just spent our third shoot with her here at the house.
Thelma, Louise and Dot wanted to help Lisa unpack her equipment. Aren't they thoughtful?
The best time to shoot exterior photos is at sunrise and sunset, so we had some pretty long days!

The manuscript and images need to be delivered to our very patient Gibbs Smith editor, Madge Baird, next month. I'm almost done with the manuscript, but feel free to leave a comment on this post about any details that you want us to include in the book.
The Patina Farm Book will be published in Spring 2016. I hope you can come to Patina Farm for the book party in March 2016!
I'm hoping to be back writing posts very soon! I have some exciting projects to share with you (we've been doing some work traveling!). Until then, I'll keep posting images on Instagram.
