An amazing installation at the French Normandy house. We are taking professional shots of the house in a couple of weeks, but I wanted to share a few of quick snaps taken during the install...
This antique French Oak dining table from A. Tyner is one of my favorite pieces in our clients' home. It will only look more beautiful over time, as our clients enjoy many meals with friends and family.
Our store merchandiser, Jennifer Alden, did a fantastic job displaying all of the vintage art and other items we've been collecting. The big fish was actually the weathervane on the original house.
All of the Waterworks unlacquered brass fixtures look so beautiful against the honed Afion marble in the master bathroom. I love the restrained palette in this room. The floors are limestone from Exquisite Surfaces. All of the walls in the house are painted Farrow and Ball "Wimbourne White".
The week after the installation, we were excited to be getting ready the Veranda Magazine photo shoot at Patina Farm!
Veranda's Editor-in-Chief, Clinton Smith and I spent a fun afternoon at Rose Story Farm in Carpinteria selecting a few more bunches of locally grown flowers for the shoot.
Rose Story Farm was also kind enough to provide a bounty of lemons and lavender!
It was such a treat watching Clinton style Patina Farm for the shoot.
We were also fortunate to have the very talented photographer, Lisa Romerein shoot the house for the feature.
I can't wait for you all to see the images in Veranda! I will let you know which issue it will be in as soon as they tell me.
The weeks following the shoot have been filled with...
Putting the finishing touches on our clients' house in Brentwood...
and many site visits all over the state, including our clients' stunning home in Atherton.
And then there is the rest of our life, that includes, feeding the donks...
taking pups to get their teeth cleaned (thank you Twinkle Teeth!).
And the most emotional part of the Summer... putting this (not so) little guy on a plane to New York with...
his older brother to continue their lives across the country.
Other than providing the puffy, swollen details about the time I spent sobbing in Nick's empty room, this post describes our busy Summer.
During the next few days I will be getting Leila ready for her first day of High School and being grateful for the fact that I have four more years with her... or at least 2, until she starts to drive!
