After living with our television in a big plaster box, Steve and I decided to design some simple wood panels that would be covered in Gracie hand painted wallpaper. The panels will be closed most of the time, except when we watch television.
When the panels are closed, the three on the left would be in view. We added another decorative piece, which will be seen when the panels are open.
After several months of waiting, our Gracie wallpaper was installed last week! It was so exciting to see it go up, piece by piece...
We lined the interior of the nook with the background wallpaper.
As you can see, decorative wallpaper was applied to both sides of the right hand panel...
so when you open the doors, there is pattern on both sides.
Here is the finished wallpaper. So much better than a big black television :)
