I want to thank all of you who shared your stories and your kind thoughts on my last post about my Dad's passing. Your comments and emails were so comforting! Although I am not able to send each of you individual emails, I do want you to know that I read and saved every single one of your notes...
In light of the recent events in my life, I have been focusing on the small moments here at Patina Farm...
I am trying to make the every day tasks in my life as beautiful as possible. I created this memory filled make-up area that I use every morning.
A charm bracelet that I designed for my Mom years ago, lies on the table. The bracelet is made up of images of my grandparents, my parents, my sister and my neice and nephew, and me and my family. The last photo is an image of my second "sister"... my parents' shih tzu, Lulu. Getting ready in the morning surrounded by my family is like starting each day with a hug.
Knowing my love for the City of Light, my parents gave me this Paris perfume bottle for my 40th birthday.
I try to keep a vase of garden flowers in most of the rooms in the house...
I created this small moment in our powder room. The barometer that Steve and I discovered in Atlanta several years ago has finally found a permanent home!
The barometer and stone demi-lune are on the wall to the left of the sink...
The demi-lune is by Elegant Earth, a company we stock in the store.
During these last few days of Daylight Saving Time, some of my favorite small moments occur under our beautiful, majestic Oak.
I also share these moments on Instagram. You can see them by following VelvetandLinen...
I hope the rest of your week is filled with special small moments!
