You know how it always rains the day after you get your car washed? Well, a similar thing happens when you plan to start landscaping! We were supposed to start our landscaping yesterday.... then in came the big dark rain clouds.
As we wait to dry out, I thought I would share a couple of my favorite details at Patina Farm...
We used scaffolding planks in some of the more rustic areas of the house. The scaffolding floor of the tower is also the ceiling in Nick's bathroom.
Of course, no tower is complete without a bell!
We found this vintage bell while we were at Golden Oldies in Highpoint. Our General Contractor, Harold Rody used one of Steve's old leather belts to connect the bell to its bracket.
All of the shelves in the tower are made from scaffolding planks as well.
Steve used scaffolding planks in his bathroom. Soon he will have a zinc counter and backsplash...
We purchased a lot of our lighting from Schoolhouse Electric. Unfortunately, they don't carry this light fixture anymore, but this one is similar.
My chicken coop is getting a couple of scaffolding shelves too!
That's all I have to share today. As always, feel free to ask questions in the comment section of this post. Oh, and if you want to see and hear Steve ringing our bell, follow me on Vine. Vine is a great new app that allows you to share short videos. I'm still getting the hang of it...
Happy Week!
