I hope you all had a wonderful week. As the weeks fly by here at Patina Farm, I am amazed at the progress going on...
The entry stone was grouted this week, and the roof tile installation neared completion. The oval window seen on the side wall is in the Powder Room.
The stone on the entry is balanced by the stone tower.
The wood garages are opposite the tower. The vintage cupolas will go up on the garages in the next couple of weeks to break up the long roof lines.
As we walked around the side of the house, we found the glass being installed in our Master shower.
The Master Bathroom is located between our bedroom and our closet.
The arched doors on the back of the house mirror the front entrance.
There are two stucco chimneys on the house. They seem a little too white right now, but all of the stucco will be acid washed, making the finish a little more creamy.
I love the simplicity of our bedroom and the sculptural quality of the vaulted ceiling.
The antique French limestone mantel feels unexpected in the clean, modern space.
In the kitchen, the plaster hood was smoothed into the wall below the stone quatrefoil.
Here's a closer look at the hood.
The cream colored LaCanche stove will look lovely with the stone. A pot rack will hang above the stove.
The steel doors in my office were painted the final color... a pale blue gray.
And our European White Oak floors arrived...Thank you Mark at Contempo Floor Coverings for getting the color right the first time!
And now the Guest Barn... getting pretty!
I'm loving the big steel doors in the simple wood facade.
After a long site visit, it was time to get driven home. I have a new chaffeur these days... Nick is driving "Miss Brookie" around, as he gets ready for his driving test on March 12th. He's a great driver and very patient when his overly nervous Mom grips the door handle!
As always, please feel free to ask questions! I'll answer them all in the comment section of this post. For those of you who subscribe via email, you can click here to link to this blog post.
Oh, I almost forgot again! For those of you who asked, here is a floor plan of the house.
Wishing you a beautiful week ahead!
