During this week's site visit to Patina Farm, I thought I would try out the new panorama feature on my iphone.

Patina Farm is definitely starting to look more like Steve's drawing...

The antique doors, that we will be using throughout the interior of the house, were delivered to the site this week.
.
.
We will need to refinish several of them, but I think they will all add a rustic quality to the house.
.
.
We started spreading them out in the garage...

and placing them around the house to see where the will be used. These doors, that we purchased in Belgium, will be hung in the mudroom to hide all of our dog leashes, muddy boots, and extra sweaters.

We had all of our
Waterworks plumbing fixtures delivered to our house in Oxnard. We are unpacking them all, so that the brass finish will start to patina.
This is one of our Master bathroom shower components...

All of the fixtures are very bright and shiny right now, but we are hoping they will age in the next 5 months before installation. Here is what unlacquered brass looks like when it ages...

Before I finish this post, I wanted to answer some of your bunny questions...
Several of you asked about litter box training a rabbit.
It takes a lot of patience, but here are some tips.
In the beginning, keep your bunny confined when you are not watching him.
You need to make sure your bunny has a big cat litter box filled with litter and hay. We use Feline Pine pellets.
We put several litter boxes around the house. This one is in our bedroom, under my make-up table. Hector is only in our bedroom when I am in there.
.
.
Next tip: Spay or neuter your bunny! They get along much better with others once they are fixed.
.
.
Michelle, a Velvet and Linen reader and Bunny Rescue Volunteer, had several other great pieces of advices, including: Never leave your bunny unattended around wires. They love to chew!
Although we didn't purchase Hector from a rescue, I think it's a great idea. For more information on adopting a rabbit from a rescue check out
