high point furniture market fall 2012 part 3: bobo intriguing objects and golden oldies...

 

During our visit to the High Point Furniture Market, Steve and I spent some time at the building on West Broad Ave. that is the home for Bobo Intriguing Objects and Golden Oldies. 

Bobo Owner Mark Sage and I share a love for Industrial, Swedish and Belgian antiques and design.

 Mark partnered with Doug and Carina Jenkins of Eneby Antik to create something pretty amazing. 

.

.

Doug and Carina are the duo behind the selection of Swedish antiques that fill the Bobo warehouse. 

.

.

When the Swedish antiques are  combined with the other industrial and European vintage pieces at Bobo, something authentic and magical is created.

.

.

The shapes of these antique chairs are quirky and romantic.

.

.

I am inspired by the authentic finishes of these simple antiques. 

.

.

The layers of different colored paint become something that can not be replicated. 

.

.

After our time at Bobo, we head next door to Golden Oldies.

.

The owners of Golden Oldies import vintage and antique accessories on a large scale...

.

.

for a dramatic effect!

Stacks of metal storage containers fill a corner of the large warehouse space.

.

.

The walls of Golden Oldies are covered by a large collection of vintage wall clocks...

.

.

and small wall cabinets. 

.

.

Expansive surfaces are covered by scientific bottles of assorted sizes. 

.

.
