In our previous house in Santa Monica, Steve and I encorporated many antique pieces into the design. One of the prettiest antique elements was our Master Bedroom fireplace mantel. We actually purchased it through Ebay. It was the perfect scale for the tall space, and the unfinished wood added natural warmth to the neutral palette.

We plan to use many antique pieces in our new home, Patina Farm, as well, including the fireplace mantel for our new Master Bedroom.
This week, we purchased this antique limestone mantel from Exquisite Surfaces. It has the perfect amount of feminine curve and detail while not being to ornate for our more rustic/contemporary space.
We will be using antique Begian ochre firebricks inside the firebox, similar to Steve's clients' fireplace.

The wood framing for our house begins next week, so I'll be sharing pictures of our "sticks" soon.
Happy weekend!
