Steve and I had a great time at AmericasMart in Atlanta for Market this weekend. I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite finds...
We started at the bottom of Building One to see the temporary exhibits. Design Legacy by Nancy Price had a great look that combined new and vintage pieces...
A little lucite is a good thing!
The Design Legacy showroom palette was mostly neutral with accents of blue and pale green.
This little curvy console was so charming.
Next, we popped next door to look at Mr. Brown...
Our favorite line in the Temporaries was Modern History. The finishes on their mirrors were particularly lovely.
And there were so many shapes to choose from.
This round table was Steve's favorite piece. He liked the finish, details, and the proportions.
I thought this pedestal table would make a nice small side table, with its pull out cocktail ledge and hidden storage.
A nicely detailed secretary could fit in any room. The drop pulls and assorted drawers and cubbies give this piece added charm.
After the Tempories, Steve and I started are ascent up the escalators. Our next stop: Bliss Studio
The finish on this lantern is exquisite.
Bliss Studio has a great line of table lamps that we carry at the shop.
I also like their iron pieces.
Their brackets are nice accent pieces.
A little display inspiration at Bliss Studio....
A nice round gilded side table with an antique mirror top was another pretty piece.
We've been big fans of Elegant Earth for a few years now, but it's always nice to stop in and see what's new...
I'd seen these columns in the catalogue. They are even prettier in person.
Their stone tables are wonderful for outdoor dining, and the French Wax finish will only look better with age.
I like their line of faux bois as well.
I hadn't seen this fountain before. It may find a home at Patina Farm...
Elegant Earth has a great selection of pots and urns in several different finishes.
We always like to drop in and visit Chelsea Textiles.
They make several furniture lines, but I'm partial to their Swedish reproductions. Chelsea Textiles has several beautiful dining chair styles...
Their benches come in many sizes and are perfect for the end of a bed or for seating at a dining table.
Speaking of beds, Chelsea Textiles has some charming headboards...
and some case pieces, in many beautiful chalky painted finishes.
This pretty chair would be lovely in a bedroom or dressing room, don't you agree?
I'm always looking for nice ottomans.
Art Addiction was a new find for us.
Although their pieces can be ordered in different sizes, the photographs in their showroom were large and dramatic.
I thought these photographs of vellum books were fantastic.
Steve liked these prints.
Go Home is always a visual feast. Stacks of reproduction books were displayed in an antique library.
These gold books were quite dazzling.
A innovative light, made from pierced buckets, would be perfect to light our new potting shed.
HomArt was another new find.
Their clean, natural aesthetic was really refreshing.
A wall of match boxes added a vintage twist.
I liked their simple displays.
Their products have a hand-crafted quality.
Even spools of twine looked fresh, displayed on the wall.
Utilitarian objects, like chalk and clothes pins, never looked so good.
I'm definitely buying these velvet ribbons for the shop.
So pretty!
There were so many great accessories for our shop here.
After winding our way around the floors for many hours, Steve and I spent our last minutes visiting the Outdoor Garden area.
These large metal spheres by Campo de Fiori would look great in the garden, covered in vines.
Their outdoor lanterns have a wonderful finish and come in great sizes.
All of their light fixtures are lovely. We actually have several of these stars at the shop.
We also carry an assortment of their mossy pots.
Steve and I want to thank everyone at AmericasMart, including Amanda Cheek, Morgan Dyches, Jennifer Powell, and Karen Bovey, for a wonderful weekend. We loved sharing our story with everyone on Saturday morning. It was such a treat getting to meet so many shop owners and designers from around the country. Thank you to all of you who came to our presentation!
We were also fortunate to have our dear friend, Leslie Newsom Rascoe, Veranda Magazine Decoration and Design Editor, introduce us before our talk. Thank you Leslie!!!
Oh, and we have to say a special "thank you" to AmericasMart for giving us the opportunity to see our names on an elevator. How crazy is that? So cool... :)
I hope you've enjoyed the beautiful showrooms I shared with you. If you were at Market, I'd love you to leave a comment and share your favorites with me!
