I'm about to let you into the real Brooke design process... obsession. When I'm designing a room I become obsessed. This week, I'm focusing on kitchens. I need to select materials for our kitchen at Patina Farm as well as the materials for one of our client's kitchens. I wake up at 1 in the morning thinking about stone, tile, plumbing fixtures, cabinetry details and finishes, etc...
When walking through our clients' houses, I am now drawn to the progress of their kitchens. The beautiful Spanish Style kitchen is getting it's backsplash.
The backsplash tile is by Mosaic House. The Pompeii Flower is by Baba Chic and is available through Country Floors.
You can see where the tile installer has measured out the location of the Pompeii Flower on the wall under the stove hood.
The pattern of Pompeii Flower will be the perfect subtle accent in the kitchen.
Although I'm kitchen focused, I couldn't help but notice the beauty of the vaulted hallway in this Spanish Style house....
and the antique limestone mantel being installed.
During my visit to our client's Modern Mediterranean house, I was so excited to see the latest addition to their kitchen, the Waterworks "Grove Brickworks" tile.
The palette of this house is so calming. The natural wood countertop adds warmth to the butler's pantry and is beautifully complimented by the brushed nickel plumbing fixtures.
The (dare I say "sexy") curve of the stairway is one of my favorite details in this house.

How beautiful is this! I'm a detail kind of gal... the first thing I notice was that impossibly slender and elegant drapery rod. Oh, and that pale stone floor...Love!
Look at those stainless drawers to match the La Cornue range. Oh, if only I didn't have to pay college tuition for three lovely children. Ha!
This is one of my favorite kitchens, EVER. The color palette, the limestone...
the pale oak doors, the ladder back chair with the rushed seat, the window seat...
the mixture of varied finishes for the cabinetry...
Is that a creamy limestone counter? I want it!
Oh and that fabulous island and stove focal point. So good... For about 12 bucks on Amazon, who could resist one of these Beta Plus books?
