Before the long Labor Day weekend, Kate, Emma, Kelly and I spent some time freshening up the displays in the shop.
Pink hydrangeas and creamy coral are now sharing space in our large display cabinet with....
strands of Ethiopian bone beads and a few pieces of vintage fabric.
Milky handblown vases pick up the faded blue of these antique French books.
Embellished textiles from antique matador costumes share the same color palette.
Deep purple sea urchins add a pop of color against a creamy clam shell.
Pale green urchins, miniature sand dollars and star fish are piled in bowls on one of our zinc console tables.
Pillows are stacked on our industrial shelves ready to add some coziness in the cooler weather.
One of our bird cages is filled with greenery.
We found several 1940's butterfly collections when we were in San Francisco. Their burnt orange, amethyst, silvery blue, and earthy brown colors have definitely inspired our autumn accents ...
like our gray willow twigs and earth toned pillows and throws...
as well as a pair of weathered leather chairs and...
Some of my favorite vignettes in the store are quite small like this collection of pocket watches in a tarnished silver box, and...
a group of vintage New York Times type face stacked in the drawers of a gray Swedish clock cabinet.
A big Thank You to Kate, Emma and Kelly for all of their help!
Now its time to enjoy the last weekend before the kids go back to school.
I hope you have a wonderful Labor Day!
