I planned to do a completely different post today, but yesterday I received a phone call from a friend saying that she was moving and having a sale. This friend has impeccable taste. I could move into any home that she decorates, so I rushed over mid post writing.
It turned out to be a chance of a lifetime. Most of the items will end up in the homes of my clients or in the store, but I couldn't help "storing" some of the items at my home for a bit. Here is what my day looked like (in between meetings, carpool, and making dinner!)....
This gorgeous Swedish pine corner cabinet was delivered to the store. I filled it with some of the 1050 leather books that I bought (I know it sounds crazy to buy so many books, but I am always searching for great leather books for my clients).
Two of these Swedish beauties made it to the store (two are visiting my home!).
What's this? It's a bed Corona with vintage Fortuny fabric! I can't wait to show you how it looks in my bedroom!
At the store, a beautiful Swedish gilt mirror sits on top of a Gustavian period cabinet with original paint.
Did I mention that I bought 1050 leather books?
Steve took a couple pictures while I made dinner...
Here I am in my "zone" trying to make sense of the assorted sizes and colors of all of the books. I know there are some of you who think books are only for reading, but you might change your mind if you saw the beautiful patina of these leather books.
They start to become the focal point of the living room.
It's too dark to take the final pictures now. Stay tuned until tomorrow... Must sleep.
zzzzz.... xo Brooke
