Brrrr.... Thank you to all of you for your clothing recommendations. I made it through a very chilly day at Scott's and Love Train with only a few shivery moments.! Steve and I had a fantastic day. First stop: Scott's. Today is "set-up" day. It was so much fun being one of the first people to see all of the goodies get unpacked. There were definitely treasures for everyone.
My favorite dealer is Jill Dineen.
Isn't Jill beautiful? I look purple and chilly!
Jill specializes in old European books and fragments.
These parchment books are going to make their way to my client's living room. They are just gorgeous!
Did any of you see the beautiful wood and gesso candle sticks on the mantel on the cover of Cote Sud?
I had to buy four of them for the shop. They have a fantastic patina!
I also bought these gilded crusty fragments. Not sure what I'm going to do with them. Any suggestions?
This frame is "the one that got away" I should have bought it. Wouldn't it look great framing a mirror in a powder room?
Sometimes the prettiest things are the simplest. I loved this pile of wine bottle tags.
This stack of metal garden stakes were also a great find.
Oh, and look who also came to Scott's! What a treat!
Angela from Washington, "Things That Inspire" Holly, me, and Jill (with a gorgeous piece of creamware).
It was so much fun walking through Scott's and getting to know Holly a little better.
Steve was very patient as we spent a good hour in Jill's stall looking and chatting. So, I took him to some other stalls that I thought he might enjoy.
Steve can't resist wood industrial molds. These make unusual pieces to put on a shelf.
Steve couldn't resist these copper coggs.
There is something sculptural about them.
We bought more of these M&M molds for the store.
We also saw some interesting industrial lighting. I liked the ones with more of a curved shade.
This industrial glass topped table will be making its way to the store. I think it will look great with our swedish leather chairs.
Sorry for the short post, but I have to get ready for dinner. I promise to post more about our first day in Atlanta (a wonderful visit with Mark Sage at Love Train plus dinner with Holly and Suzanne Kasler!).
I hope you had a wonderful Thursday. Stay warm!!!
xo
