Tuesday is my one year bloggy-versary. I can't believe that Velvet and Linen is now 1.

As a bit of a preview, I am going to share with you the number one thing I have discovered by/about blogging:
1. Through blogging I have become part of an incredibly generous community. Michelle from A Schematic Life is a perfect example of one of the generous people I have met.
Several months ago, Michelle e-mailed me a gorgeous rendering she did of my front door. Since then, Michelle's rendering has a permanent spot on my left hand side bar as the entrance to the tour of my home.
You can only imagine how excited I was when I arrived at the office and saw the original rendering on my desk. Isn't it perfect? Even Michelle's note card was a work of art!
In Michelle's last post, I also found out that she offers her renderings as art cards.
Check out her post here to see her fantastic renderings of Amsterdam that she turned into cards. I loved the idea so much that I've asked Michelle to turn my front door rendering into note cards for me. Thank you Michelle!
