Steve is off to Maine tomorrow. I really wanted to go, but it was too difficult to figure out how to get the kids to all of their activities while we were gone. So Steve promised to take pictures of our clients' gorgeous home. I first wrote about this project here.
At that time, the house looked like this...
On his last visit, it looked like this...
Although this home looks pretty traditional on the outside, the interior spaces are much more open and contemporary in feel. The heavy beams add warmth and scale to this two story space. The walls are covered in California One Kote to achieve that glow.
Steve and our client designed most of the furniture that is going into the home.
Most of the pieces are slipcovered in neutral linens, like this Nick Sofa....
Courtney Sofa...
and the curvy Harper Chair.
The Nick Chairs are slipcovered in a neutral stripe.
Another neutral stripe covers the Nate Chair.
The Nate Chair that is going in the barn is upholstered in a citrus green velvet.
Another punch of lime green on a chaise....
with a burlap back.
While Steve and our client were designing these pieces, they were inspired by
the unfinished Courtney Sofa. They both loved the blue striped jute "webbing" used inside the sofa.
Our upholsterer, Sherry was kind enough to give Steve a roll of the webbing to take home.
Steve and our client decided to use it in the design of this bench that is going off to Maine this week as well.
The woven webbing looks great as the top of the bench. The wood was left unfinished.
I really think Steve's furniture line is beautiful.
Our tufted burlap bench design is now in our Master Bedroom for a visit.
I can't wait to share the new pictures of Steve's Maine project. He's promised to e-mail me photos while he's there!
Have a wonderful day.
