First of all, I can't believe the overwhelming response to my give away.
I'm so excited to pick out the winners on Sunday. For those of you who haven't entered, it's not too late! Check out my last post here to see how to enter.
I have to apologize for this week's light postings. I am at the tail end of two fairly large jobs. This part of a project is incredibly challenging. It really is a very detail oriented profession.
I thought I would give you a peak at the installation of an amazing entry light.
When my client described the light fixture that she envisioned hanging here, I didn't really think about how we were going to install it. Fortunately, Frederic from Bourgeois Boheme was able to help us find a fantastic electrician.
It took three electricians to install the oil rubbed bronze mounting to the ceiling.
My fear of heights made watching this part quite a challenge. The electrician had to check each socket before attaching each of the twenty glass eggs.
Once the chandelier was installed it was very dramatic. This home looks like a traditional white shingle style home from the outside. Walking into the entry and seeing this light is going to be quite a surprise!
Here is another view of the chandelier looking towards the front of the house.
Seeing the smile on my client's face when she saw her entry chandelier made all of the hard work with it! That's why I'm still hooked on interior design and am ready to celebrate this weekend with everyone else who is joining Julia's Hooked on Friday's party.
I also wanted to give you an update on the new house situation.
It has been quite the emotional roller coaster!
I talked with our accountant, and it sounds like selling and buying a house is pretty expensive. Lots of taxes, lots of commissions. I am meeting with our realtor this morning to see if it makes any sense. So, we may be back to re-decorating our present home, but I'll let you know for sure this weekend. I will also show you some more of the inspirational pictures that I have been looking at this week. I know you'll love them!
