Yesterday, I was trying to convince a client to plant rose vines on trellises on her home. Sometimes pictures are more convincing than words.
What do you think?
These two images are from a garden that Steve and I designed. We planted rose vines all over this English cottage. In Spring time it was quite a sight to see!
The blushing beauties are the perfect shade of pale pink.
I found this image of the Rose Cottage on the internet a while back. I think that is a profusion of Cecil Bruner roses. Isa, what do you think?
These next three charming cottages are from the book Sea Captains' Houses and Rose Covered Cottages, a wonderful book that chronicles the small original homes in Nantucket.
Love the roses, but the Hollyhocks steal the show, for me!
An abundant mixture of climbing roses and hydrangeas.
I shared this beautiful rose covered playhouse in my post about Tom Callaway.
Although this little house is adorable on its own, the rose vines make it irresistible.
This image of my home was taken a few years back. The roses now cover most
of the porch roof and have climbed half way up the trunk of the palm tree in front of our home.
Have a wonderful weekend!
