While I am researching all things Swedish, I found a wonderful book in my own library.
Swedish Interiors by Rhonda Eleish and Edie Van Breems is filled with gorgeous homes that are actually in the United States but are inspired by Swedish design.
While looking through this delicious book I found a home that I could move into only to realize that it is the previous home of my dear friends Linda and Lindsay Kennedy. I did a post on their newest home last month, but I didn't realize that their last home was just as charming as the one they live in today.
Their home was restored by Nancy Fishelson before the Kennedy's purchased it. Her white interiors were meant to be the home of the Kennedys' beautiful Swedish furniture. Their home spun linen furniture is just beautiful.
This kitchen has so many beautiful details. I love the farmhouse sink with the linen skirt.
The wood counters add warmth to the all white cabinets. I love the contrasting dark floors and
dark cabinet hardware. Linda's love of plants and flowers is evident throughout her home.
The Kennedy's eighteenth century secretary is wonderfully functional and visually beautiful.
The Kennedys used two demilune tables back to back to create a table for this inviting seating area.
The large pewter chargers make a beautiful visual display above the Swedish tall case clock.
I love the idea of using a pair of nineteenth century doors as an entrance to a secret garden.
The bottom image is section of the Kennedy's gorgeous store, Chloe Decor, that they closed to follow their other pursuits.
