We have been busily working on getting the web store ready for the opening. 

Steve has done these amazing little sketches of our favorite items in the store.

His drawings really set the tone for the whole site. We really want the web store to reflect our personalities.

I love the drawings he did of our new furniture line. This chair is named after my son, Charlie.

We loved the idea of making a wing chair that slimmer and more elegant than most.

This is the Harper chair. The slipcover reminds me of a little sheath dress. I love the Harper's more feminine lines.

The Nick sofa is one of our more contemporary pieces. It's named after my other son. 

 I find it's clean lines very fresh. 

Steve also did some sketches of our very eclectic selection of lighting. They range from Fortuni chandeliers to industrial tripod lamps.

It's so exciting to see the web store starting to take shape!

A before and after kitchen

I was just organizing my photos and came upon this fun before and after.

BEFORE

I loved the beveled diamond tiles the first time I saw them.

We paired them with  Calcutta slab counters.

The lemon yellow Viking range was such a wonderful extravagance.

A fluted farm house sink was installed under the windows looking out to the garden.

We added new glass cabinets and some plate racks to display our client's lovely dishes.

We painted the cabinets to match the range and painted the island a light olive green.

Copper pots hang on the custom designed pot rack above the range.

I took the diamond tile all the way up the wall and paneled the two big Sub-Zero Refrigerators.

We had the microwave plated to match the yellow range..

The bamboo stools were upholstered in a floral fabric that complemented the colors of the room.

I loved the industrial pendants above the more refined island.

butterflies revisited

Anna from the fantastic Villa Anna has given me another reason to love butterflies.

This is an image from her latest post on the beautiful home store Parterre.

They are truly magical.  I am not surprised that they are sold. Too bad it wasn't me.
