I have lived to in Southern California for my entire life, but it was only this month that I discovered the beauty of the town of Carpenteria. One of my favorite discoveries is Porch. It's a wonderful life style store that has combined garden elements with industrial and rustic furnishings.
The neutral color palette lays the foundation for a calm and relaxing setting.
The owner uses the texture found in baskets, iron and wood tables as well as plant material to provide interest.
They cover all of their upholstered pieces in a natural gray linen. The color looks fantastic infront of this industrial table.
I loved this cabinet. I am always trying to figure out how to incorporate different looks in the same space.
Although this case piece has a more traditional look it blended well with the modern and industrial furnishings in the store.
Because of the store's neutral palette, these lanterns really stood out.
I would love to hear what you think about Porch. What do you think works?
