I am a textile fanatic. Whenever I begin a project, I love shopping for fabrics or pulling fabrics from our large fabric library at our shop for inspiration. Even when I'm not working on a specific project, I can often be found "playing" with swatches, creating different palettes and story boards (Yes, that's what I do for fun, and yes, my boys think I'm odd).
And now I have more gorgeous fabrics to obsess over, because my friend, Interior Designer and Design Blogger Lauren Liess has designed her own fabric line!
L L Textiles embody the clean, relaxed aesthetic of Lauren's designs and the life she shares with her husband Dave and their two gorgeous boys, Christian and Justin (and a third baby on the way!).
"Happikat" was the first of Lauren's fabrics that I admired when she used it as the drapery fabric in her D.C. Showhouse room...
The large graphic pattern of Lauren's "Happikat" made a beautiful bold statement in her D.C. showhouse room!
The oversized blooms of Lauren's "Magnolia" pattern makes it one of my favorites.
This lovely image from Lauren's Pure Style Home website of a table cloth made from "Magnolia in China Blue" tempted me to do a "Scarlet O'hara" and drape myself in yards of Lauren's Magnolias!
Lauren created a cohesive, well designed textile line, not just a bunch of random fabrics. This serene image shows how beautifully Lauren's fabrics, with their combination geometric and organic and large scale and small scale patterns play off of each other...
and her color palette is fresh and classic!
Please visit Pure Style Home to fall in love with the full line of Lauren Liess Textiles. I know you are going to want to play and create with them too!
I'm off to a couple of meetings before the weekend. I plan to take pictures of some of our projects to share with you next week!
In the meantime, have a wonderful weekend.

Lauren is such a funny, friendly and talented blogger, designer and now textile artist. Although I have never met her I have surmised this from her blog. I have followed her for sometime and I am often amazed at her honesty and her spunk, she is a hard working young mom and she says things as they are. Her fabric is beautiful! I am so excited for her that you featured her fabric here! I hope that many people go over and check out her stunning work.
Have a wonderful weekend, looking forward seeing the photos of your new work! I hope you were able to get your photos back.

I love Lauren's blog and her fabrics are lovely. She did a great post outlining why fabrics cost what they do.

This might be an odd question, but do you know where Lauren got that great linen dress she is wearing in the picture? I LOVE it (and her fabrics)! The Queen Anne's Bouquet pattern struck a cord with me-thank you so much for sharing information about your talented connections...

These fabrics are just wonderful - thanks for this post. Love HappiKat (great name!) and the Magnolia fabrics. I follow Lauren's blog - but I haven't been there in a while so thanks for the reminder.
Just got your book too - can't wait to devour it.
