I just finished reading another wonderfully written and informative post by my friend Maria at Colour Me Happy. Her latest post focuses on 5 rules to follow if you want to get your work published.
Although all five rules are important, recently I've been focusing on rule #4:" Get your work professionally photographed and styled". Like most of you, I'm so crazy busy with work, kids, life.... that photographing my work hasn't been a top priority, but it should be! So during the past couple of months I've spent a lot of time having our projects professionally photographed by the very talented Lisa Romerein. We first met Lisa when she photographed our home for C Magazine. We were thrilled that she had the time to work with us again!
In a couple of past posts I shared with you a few of the images that Lisa shot. They were so beautiful, that I asked Lisa if she would take a couple images of the shop. Last week she sent some of the finals to me, and I wanted to share them with you...
This mirror found a new home last week, so I am happy to have it documented in this image. Lisa also captured the stunning details of our Swedish dining table.
This is one of the smaller vignettes that we shot. Composed of a few of our rustic stools and hand painted washboards from India hanging on a pair of beautifully aged French shutters, this photo captures the ambience of our garden area.
We caught photographer Lisa Romerein and Kate, from K8 Vision, in action, creating another Swedish inspired vignette...
I've started making individual ibooks for each project. Filled with Lisa's gorgeous images, the books are a great way to document and present our work to potential clients and magazine editors. They also make wonderful gifts for our clients!
Here's a sample of one of the pages of the Giannetti Home Book.
