The last seven days have been filled more with Mom activities than Interior Design events...
It started with my trip with Charlie to Pittsburgh...
and ended with my annual trip to Disneyland with Leila and her friends.
But I must confess that even on these kid oriented trips my eyes are often drawn to design inspiration.
When we visit Disneyland I'm always struck by the attention that is paid to every small detail. On our way to the Pirates of the Caribbean, I had to stop and take a picture of this building's charming facade. I wish I had my Farrow and Ball color chart with me. I love the gray and cream color scheme. Great iron and shutter details as well!
The rustic buildings on Tom Sawyer's Island are just fantastic.
Another beautiful color scheme! And those lanterns are just spectacular.
These chalky colors are perfection. The simple shutters in a muted gray green are a charming detail.
Whimsical thatched roofs covered most of the buildings on the way to Indiana Jones!
In between fun times like this....
I found myself admiring the well tended Disney gardens!
Rows of ornamental kale are such a great way to add color and texture to a garden during this time of year.
The groundskeepers at Disneyland know how to make a huge impact with annual color, like this huge bed of pink snapdragons and violet pansies.
So am I the only one, or do you sneak peaks at design inspiration during family time?
Have a great weekend!
