Thank you again to Joni, Linda, and Megan for a great time at the Skirted Round Table. I also want to thank all of you who left comments about my interview. It's great to know that you enjoyed it!
And now on to Round Top!
Nothing could get me over my fear of flying faster than hearing that my friend Mark Sage is going to be bringing all his gorgeous antiques to The Big Red Barn at the Roundtop Antique Fair. I couldn't book my ticket to Texas fast enough. Well actually it took a few days of figuring out my kids' schedules and who would take Nick to football, Leila to soccer and just keep an eye on Charlie (he is almost 16 after all!) while I was gone.
It all started with Joni's post on Mark's new line off furniture for Restoration Hardware. I noticed that Mark left a comment saying that he was going to Texas. So, I contacted Mark to see what I was missing. He said that he was bringing two huge containers (one from Sweden and one from Belgium) to the show. Would I like to see some pictures? Was he kidding?
Which Swedish cabinet would you buy? Wait don't make your decision quite yet..
I love these two as well!
I have a soft spot for clock faces!
This chest may need to come home with me!
.And a desk!
I just can't seem to resist a simple lovely Swedish piece.
This rustic cabinet is so charming.
Steve and I love how Mark mixes Swedish and Industrial pieces.
So here is the scoop, Mark has 20 spaces located in the middle of the new tent just outside of the side door of the main building. The best part? Mark is not raising his prices for retail customers. Everyone will have access to his gorgeous antiques at wholesale/dealer prices!
The show starts on Wednesday (that's the day I'll be there!) and goes until Sunday, October 4th.
Will I see you there?
