In a recent post, I talked about my love of burlap and shared the headboard that Steve and I designed
for our guest room.
Mary and I brought them up to Channel Islands today to replace the headboards that I put in our Client's guest house.
Here they are in place, but now I think we need to make burlap bed skirts. I think a simple bedskirt with six pleats will make these beds complete.
We also made a burlap bench for the room.
Our upholsterers at Ralph's Interiors did a wonderful job with the tufting (thank you Sherry and Ralph and Co.). The bench works as seating in front of the television, where the kids hand out and play video games.
Sherry and Ralph did the diamond tufting the way it would have been done years ago, by pulling and tying the burlap. I love that detail.
