I have been in search of interesting window treatments in the piles of magazines that seem to appear daily on my night stand. I recently had the realization that I have to organize my images. It is so much easier to convince a client to do a beautiful valance or a lovely gauzy linen drape if you have a fabulous image to back up the idea. So, here are some of my favorites...
These tall citrus draperies in Nanette Lapore's living room are so dramatic. I like the way the white rods and rings blend into the wall color. It's all about those drapes! Also, love the rug, but that is another post.

Elle Decor
I love these simple white sheers paired with the graphic shade. I'm also a big fan of slim drapery rods.
This chrome rod adds a little sparkle.
British Homes and Gardens
The three fabrics Interior Designer Elaine Honea used for this window treatment are gorgeous together. The valance is a wonderful detail. These draperies really are a work of art.

Nisi Berryman created a dramatic window treatment with this valanced striped drapery.
Metropolitan Home
These natural gauzy sheers make me feel like I am on vacation. Sheer beauty!
Cote Sud
A solid gray blue fabric looks beautiful against the matching color wall paper. The trim on the drapery is a fun detail and picks up the white in the wall paper design.
British Homes and Gardens
This window treatment by Peter Dunham is fab! Love the use of different patterns in the room. The valance unifies the windows.
Veranda Design House 2008
Barbara Wiseley's beautifully neutral and textural window treatment is what I would do in my own home. It is simple but well detailed.

Katie Ridder's drapery design for this living room is sublime. The gold leaf branch rod at the top of the valance is a fantastic touch. Don't you love that embroidery?

Mary Louise Sinclair's floral drapery with a chocolate background is a great bold statement in this room.

The brass rods look lovely with the Fortuny fixture and the teal walls. I like Ms. Sinclair's use of the shade to make the window appear taller than it actually is. The white fabric complements the white tufted bed.

These Les Indiennes draperies look lovely paired with the Moroccan inlaid chairs and a more contemporary table. The green pattern on the fabric reflects the beautiful garden outside.
